About EV Repair Directory
Finding someone competent to work on an electric vehicle is harder than it should be. This directory exists to make that a five-minute job instead of an afternoon.
The problem we are solving
Around 1 in 10 new vehicles sold in the United States is now fully electric, and the first big waves of them are leaving warranty. Their owners are discovering that the local garage which handled their previous car cannot safely touch a 400-volt battery pack, and that the dealer's answer to a single failed module is frequently to quote for an entire pack.
There is a whole layer of independent specialists who can do this work — high-voltage certified, equipped for module-level battery repair, often at a fraction of the dealer price. They are just genuinely hard to find, because they are small businesses competing against manufacturer service networks with vastly larger marketing budgets.
What we do
We compile and verify listings for those specialists. Each entry records the shop's address, contact details, opening hours, the brands it services, the certifications it holds and the warranty it offers — checked against the shop's own published information and dated so you can see how fresh it is.
Alongside the directory we publish repair cost guides: researched price ranges for the jobs EV owners actually face, so a quote can be judged against something before it is accepted.
How we make money — and how we do not
Listings are free. Shops cannot buy a higher position, cannot pay to remove a competitor, and cannot pay to have a listing altered. Ordering is driven by how complete and verifiable a listing is. If that ever changes, this page will say so plainly.
We do not take a commission on work booked, and we do not sell your contact details. When you use the quote request, your enquiry goes to shops capable of the job you described and nowhere else.
On ratings and reviews
Where we show a star rating, it comes from Google and is labelled as such, with the date we last checked it. We do not restate other people's ratings as though they were collected here, and we do not mark them up as our own aggregate rating. Reviews submitted directly to this site are read by a person before publication.
Our methodology page sets out exactly what we verify, what we cannot verify, and how to get an error fixed.
Independence
EV Repair Directory is not affiliated with Tesla, Rivian, Lucid, Ford or any other manufacturer. Brand names appear only to describe the vehicles that listed independent shops service.
